TV-Links.co.uk Blasts into the Alexa top 500 websites

Tv-Links.co.uk is a new breed of website that allows visitors to watch TV Shows that stream from hosts like GoogleVideo, YouTube, Stage6 etc. Since around the middle of march TV-Links traffic has taken a huge climb blasting it into the top 500 web site’s on Alexa at number 460.

As anyone who happens to own a web site will know this is an absolutely staggering amount of growth in such a short period of time.
For anyone reading this post that doesn’t quite get how big a leap in traffic TV-Links has achieved let me give you a give comparison. In January this year ernesto over at TorrentFreak wrote an article covering The Pirate Bay and mininova appearing in the top 200 web site’s on the Internet according to Alexa (ernesto’s article).
The Pirate Bay has since dropped outside of the Top 200 with a rank of 287 whilst mininova remains at number 139. So there is some background and now for the example, The Pirate Bay has been online since around July 2004 whilst mininova started a few months later around January 2005. It has taken over two years for these popular bittorrent web sites to achieve their traffic status at Alexa,
Tv-Links went live around November 2006 and has managed to achieve it’s ranking in around seven month’s now that’s one popular site in the making.
So what is so special about Tv-Links.co.uk that has grown it’s user base and visitors so rapidly? Well the answer is simple, TV-Links list’s a phenomenal amount of TV Series that with the click of a mouse stream in an instant, No hunting for the correct version, no missing .rar files etc. Sounds better than waiting 10mins for a TV Show to download on BitTorrent and it is if you don’t fancy downloading an episode.
You see the major appeal is TV on Demand and in a sense TV-Links delivers exactly that, you can browse the list of TV Series and instantly be enjoying an episode of House, The Sopranos, 24 and many, many more. TV Shows are neatly organized in alphabetical order and within the Main Show Category episode’s are organized into Seasons. Navigation and finding what you desire really couldn’t be easier with TV-Links.
The Legality of TV-Links will be as always up for debate, And of course TV Networks/Copyright Holders will view the site as being the host to illegal content even although TV-Links only provides 3rd party http links to Episodes. TV-Links do not host file’s/video’s on there servers all videos are hosted on other video providers, and you also cannot download any TV Shows from TV-Links.
Many will say however that it is perfectly legal as the major search engines also link to this content if you know how to search Google, Yahoo, Msn. Unfortunately now that TV-Links has become so popular we might find out like so many other sites if it is legal or not sooner rather than later.
Streaming TV is certainly a pleasurable experience with some episodes being very high quality even when output to a TV at Full Screen, First two episodes of House are a good example of this. 
We don’t envisage Streaming TV replacing today’s methods of grabbing shows on BitTorrent or emule just yet, but it definitely is a safer way of viewing TV if you don’t want to take a risk downloading from P2P. Alternatively if you just want a quick episode fix TV-Links is definitely the site for you.
For the moment TV-Links is proving to be a runaway success that shows no signs of slowing down.

I’m really pissed off men..!!
Linking is not illegal, hosting is… this is completely unfair, how could they shut it down??. But don’t worry, there are plenty of other sites that can perfectly replace tv-links. For example, i found http://www.sidereel.com they have almost all the tv series, tons of movies and music vids. There’s also Dailymotion or Stage 6, thanks god they can’t stop us..!! he he LOL

Lets just all remember though that if FACT take said action against tv-links, then THEY will be guilty of a miscarriage of justice, if tv-links is branded as “illegal” then Google etc are also guilty. Sign our petition and show your support by telling everyone you know to tell everyone they know. We will not go down without a fight and be tools of a scare tactic for these FAsCisTs.
