Back in October 2007 tv-links.co.uk was closed down after pressure from Gloucestershire County Council trading standards in conjunction with investigators from Fact and Gloucestershire Police in the UK. Since then many sites have tried to recapture the success of tv-links.co.uk, tv-links.eu is the latest of those site’s seeking similar success and this one isn’t half bad.

If you are unfamiliar with the kind of service tv-links.eu provides they basically link to videos of popular tv-shows and movies that are hosted on third party video sites like YouTube, Google Video and many more.

Before the original tv-links.co.uk was taken offline it had exploded into the alexa top 500 most traffic websites in the world, the most impressive stat though is that it tv-links achieved this ranking in under seven months. You can read an article we wrote titled “TV-Links.co.uk Blasts into the Alexa top 500 websites” back in July last year covering the sites sudden success and more detailed explanation why the stats were impressive.

tv-links.eu on first appearance looks very similar to the original tv-links website from the design to the content on offer. Like any site of this nature some shows are hosted on Chinese video sites which can take some time to load/buffer if your located in Europe or the USA.

Untill now no site had really recaptured the sudden success of tv-links.co.uk after it’s demise, time will only tell if tv-links.eu can buck that trend and become a top500 Alexa website.
