TLF aka The Last Fantasy is a hugely popular Chinese file sharing website that deals with bittorrent, emule and ftp methods of sharing files, but is TLF sometimes an underrated source for sharing. Here at P2PViNE we think so.

Since around 2002 TLF : The Last Fantasy has been providing various methods for it’s user base to share files with each other. We see lots of articles nowadays about file sharing websites like The Pirate Bay, Mininova, shareconnector, but for some reason very few of them refer to TLF who’s main forum based site is located at http://www3.eastgame.net/.

When TLF began it was Chinese language only which made it damn near impossible for westerners to join and make any sense of the site. In recent years however TLF has opened up and now has an English section which allows English readers to participate in the forums. TLF provides links to releases in various guises such as bittorrent and emule, what makes TLF different from most other sites though is it’s FTP section and servers. Any member can sign-up and get access to the FTP’s although, their are some basic requirements to get the best access.

There are 5 main types of user over at TLF, Newbie, Special Member, Intermediate Member, Advanced Member, and VIP Member.

1. Newbies are just registered users they have access to all the basic stuff including FTP, ED, Pub, IRC, etc, and have a downloading speed of 50kb/s.
2. Special Member is when your rate becomes 50, you will have access to special member account to all the basic ftps.
3. Intermediate Member is something you have to apply for, the requirements are outlined in the [TLF Bible] located in the english forums, you will then have access to 4 other new FTPs and 1 sharing ftp with the speed of 2*50kb/s. your speed for all the basic FTPs will remain the same.
4. Advanced Member is also something you have to apply for, the requirements are outlined in the [TLF Bible] located in the english forums, you will have access to about 20-30 new FTPs in total, and for all the FTP in TLF you have access to including the basic FTPs, all your downloading speed will become 2*50kb/s.
5. VIP Member is the highest level of membership TLF has, to apply for VIP member, you can read the guide the [TLF Bible] located in the english forums, you will have access to a couple of more VIP only FTPs, and your downloading speed will also increase to 2*100kb/s,

All the above membership levels relate to FTP accounts, emule and bitorrent are free to all users.

What makes TLF such a good site is the quality of content available to members, An extremely high percentage of the emule links for SCENE releases originate and are first posted at TLF and TLF unlike other ed2k/emule sites also has dedicated teams for the network that provide sources for the content posted on the TLF website. The same can be said of the FTP and Bittorrent sections of the site who also have dedicated teams.

Another nice section of the TLF site is for TLF INTERNAL releases that normally consist of High Quality movies that members have ripped themselves, again all being part of a team.
