I’ve no idea why I was banned; not even an email.
All you have to do is get another account from a different IP, i.e. web-cafe, library, wetherspoons pub free wife, set up an account.

It takes them a day or so to twig, but you already have your torrent torrenting.
They will forcibly close them, but you just start them again.

You cannot upload, but that’s their problem if they won’t let you.

Hopefully another civil torrent tracker will spring up.

Couldn’t agree more with the previous poster. I too had a run in with the evil ‘Jessamy’ - she is obviously high on a power trip and comes across as a horrible person. What is scary is the fact she seems to be online 25 hours per day, when there are only 24 hours IN A DAY. What kind of woman she is this tells us a lot about. 38 years old, obviously no children, or if she has they’re getting neglected and are orphans of the internet. Also watch out for a staff member called ‘Jait’, he/she too is a total power mad fuckwit. Someone above said that they seem to hate their members, well that is exactly how I was made to feel. In my case I was threw off the site for disagreeing with one of the staff in a forum thread. They simply cannot take criticism, you either suck up to them or you get banned. My advice to anyone unlucky enough to get an invite is to leech it for all its worth, stay barely within the rules ratio wise and no more. DO NOT invest much bandwidth other than that, as it will invariably lead to heartache. Shortly before I was banned I had three PM’s from other members warning me that I’d be banned and to keep my mouth shut, but I am never one to shy away from what is right - and I spoke out against the staff for the rude manner in which they spoke to a younger, newbie member. A good cause and well worth losing my account for. I’d do it again tomorrow. I never even gave them the satisfaction of the IRC - they use that only to further abuse banned members and it will NEVER get you your account back.

Anything I now want off that site I get my brother to get me, so I seriously hope they read this and know that I got the last laugh. I get more downloads off thebox.bz than when I was an actual member. And most of the I upload to public trackers. My little way of paying them back so to speak. PMSL!

Of said nasty, power hungry “kids” at thebox.bz, none is worse than the bitvh called Jessamy. Google the name, and you will see I’m not the first or the last that will tell you this. But far from being a kid, this bitch is a 38 year old woman that should know better. I had a good share ratio, had been with them for a few months and all was fine. I inadvertently posted a spoiler in the forum for which I got a warning…..I emailed the mods to apologize for my mistake, and also express my dismay at the rude, and abrupt manner in which the warning was given. a few hours later, I found I couldn’t log onto the site and had no way of contacting them to remonstrate. So via proxy, I tried to gain access to the site….just to be able to find out how to IRC (I am a newbie to IRC) and for no other reason. I wasn’t trying to duplicate my account, I’m not stupid and knew that wouldn’t work anyway - I just wanted to speak to a mod/admin member. Lo and behold, I got the witch Jessamy who delighted in further abusing my character.

Stick the UKNova folks, and stay away from the little hitlers at thebox.bz

Agreed! I have a great ratio and am a very straightforward P2P user but since having unnecessary trouble with the rightly identified kids at thebox.bz I have little patience to give them another chance, nor to waste my upstream bandwidth on these fool’s sharing website. Just leave them to bark dementedly at each other on IRC like the Beavis & Butthead types they clearly are.

After being a member for a year and seeding to a ratio of 4, my account was canceled.

The explanation, via irc, was that “you cheated, now get off the channel”.

If I was going to cheat, my ratio would have been higher than 4.
