During the last few years everyone will have noticed the steady increase of file sharing site’s offering the latest, movies, games, software etc on various networks. These type of site’s hosting mostly SCENE releases have become the steadfast choice for many p2p users when searching for their latest media fix.

But what about those guys still ripping the cd’s and movies they bought themselves and sharing, well they are few and far between nowadays but they are still out there. Thankfully two sites thetradersden.org and yourrips.com are keeping the real spirit of file sharing alive.

The Traders Den deals only with torrent releases of an Audio Nature, FLAC, ISO and Videos, DVD and they are all ripped by forum members. The torrents tracker is the VBulletin based VBTT and works really well for this community and with over 72,000 registered users it is by no means a small gathering. Torrents can be downloaded from the four ms and there are hundreds of high quality releases on the site.

YourRips.org

YourRips.org is a much smaller emule links site dedicated to sharing media you have ripped yourself. They cater for DVD, DiVX, and just about anything else yo can rip as long as the quality is high. Recently they seemed to have cleared all of there forums as the quote from the sites Administrator cw_uk below explains.

Due to a number of spammers it was time for a much needed clear out and reorganise of sections i tried to make it a bit easier for posters. if you have any tips or requests for sections let me know and I’ll see what i can do.

The staff at YourRips seem to be restructuring and rebuilding the site but i was surprised to see most of the post’s totally gone. The site is looking very bare at the moment but still worth the visit.
