Resident Evil 4: Biohazard available on P2P two weeks before official launch

Well today has been one of those days with not a great deal going on in the world of file sharing. Well thats what i thought at least until my attention was turned to the fact that Resident Evil 4: Biohazard was released onto the eDonkey2000 network by NETSHOW a full two weeks before it official release date of 28th Feburary.
This title first showed up on the eDonkey2000 network on roughly the 3rd Feburary 2007, However the title seemed incomplete at 3.06GB in size and sure enough a day later there was a REPACK. The REPACK was this time 4 ISO files weighing in at 4.6GB for all and has been confirmed as a working copy of Resident Evil 4: Biohazard by members of the emule community.
Now one of the interesting things here is where the release seems to have originated from as unlike nearly all illegal game releases it is not from a large SCENE group like RELOADED or the like. During install you see that there are chinese characters and the actual install is less than release group standard. One of the noticable things is the installer refers to “Heroes of Might & Magic V – Hammers of Fate(NETSHOW)” as file paths etc.
Granted this is not the european version and apparently the control method sucks if you dont have a decent joypad. The mouse cannot control the camera or left and right according to some forum reports.
But ultimatley the title does work and that will not please Capcom in any, way, shape or form.
Another interseting fact is that this title appeared first on the eDonkey2000 network as it’s unusual nowadays as bittorrent is considered the defacto client by most. At the last time of checking the title was still not available on some major torrent sites like piratebay, mininova etc.
Capcom need not worry about this release in my eyes as i will be buying my copy of this game
Thanks to chucklander for the screenshots.
