Manic Miner loading on a zx spectrum is mind numbing

I think the title of this post about says it all
and this post ain’t about p2p but hey what can i say. sometimes we like to mix it up a little.
Browsing youtube i came across a gaggle of videos that show zx spectrum games loading? being a fan and owner of the zx spectrum i clicked on the video titled Manic Miner. Manic Miner is one of the most recognizable titles that was released for the ZX Spectrum circa 1983, but damn am i happy loading times have improved some what since then.
The video in question is 6mins and 8secs long in total with 3min 15secs of that being the game loading from tape into he ZX Spectrum. Around 2mins in i was losing the will to live becasue of the high pitch loading tones, can you imagine S.T.A.L.K.E.R doing this today haha.
These type of video’s are good to reminisce over however if you want to play ZX SPectrum games today use an Emulator
it is much faster at loading and it wont permanently damage your hearing in the process, plus you actually get to play the game at the end.
World Of Spectrum is a great resource for all things ZX Spectrum related including Free Games and Emulators.
Wold of Spectrum also have a great remakes section from wher you can download classic ZX Spectrum games that have been remade and brought up to date. Get the ZX SPectrum Remakes HERE
